Introducing Sora 2: Ai Video App
The launch of Sora 2, paired with the new Sora app, marks a real shift in how video gets made.
High-quality production used to demand cameras, crews, and timelines that didn’t match the speed of social.
Sora 2 changes that. Like… Frfr.
It behaves like a world simulator, generating short videos that respect physics, lighting, and motion, and it produces synchronized dialogue and sound so clips feel more like finished scenes than drafts.
You can work from text, start from a still image as inspiration, or build from existing posts you remix inside the Sora app.
For entrepreneurs, coaches, and creatives, that means faster storyboarding, faster testing, and more ways to show up as the face of your brand without having to be on set.
Sora 2’s “cameo” feature is the bridge between imagination and presence and the BEST way I’ve seen to collaborate and play with partners in a long time.
After a short in-app verification, you can appear as yourself inside generated scenes, and you decide who else may feature your likeness.
You can later revoke access and even remove videos that include you, including unpublished drafts created by others. That consent model is core to how the app works.
What Sora 2 Actually Does
Earlier models often produced surreal or inconsistent results. Sora 2 ups realism, steerability, and audio sync. In practice, that means a missed basketball shot ricochets naturally rather than teleporting, water behaves with believable buoyancy, and character dialogue can align with lip motion when your prompt calls for it.
The model’s “instruction-following” also improves, so details like camera moves and pacing notes matter and are increasingly honored.
If you want access… the app is rolling out in the U.S. and Canada first, with sora.com as the web home, and a higher-fidelity Sora 2 Pro model planned for Pro subscribers on sora.com. AND… so far, the Cameo feature (where you train the video on your own likeness) only works on iphones. It reminds me of the Clubhouse Days!
Expect the app and web experiences to diverge slightly as features land; keep an eye on our group for updates!
From Funny to Strategic: Make Content That Converts
Entertaining clips help you win attention, but attention alone doesn’t move revenue.
The conversion lift comes from pairing humor and spectacle with buyer psychology.
Start by tightening your ideal client. Use the Ideal Client Avatar GPT to get precise on desires, risks, language, and pet peeves.
Then map out the beliefs a buyer must hold before they say yes.
Build short Sora scenes that make those beliefs feel true on contact.
Like this!
In the video above, I want our clients to know they don’t need to pose with a lambo to build a business. And, I want them to believe they need an actual strategy.
Next, list objections and fears, then defang them with a wink.
In this video want our clients to know they don’t have to stay on top of all the changes… I’ve got them!
Exaggerate the pain so it is safe to laugh at it.
The point is to transform resistance into recognition.
Sora’s iteration loop helps here; you do not need a perfect prompt right away. You can remix your own videos until you get it right.
Start with the idea, then refine.
When you’re writing your first few prompts, don’t overthink them. Think of it like you’re giving notes to a film crew who’s about to shoot your scene. The clearer your direction, the better your result will be.
Be specific about what’s happening. Who’s in the scene? What are they doing? What’s the vibe or emotion? Then, once you’ve got something good, iterate — generate a few versions and refine instead of starting from scratch.
Describe timing and pacing so Sora knows the rhythm you’re going for — for example, “three quick cuts followed by a slow zoom-in.”
Add a few real-world details to keep the scene grounded, even if it’s fantastical. Things like “soft sunset light,” “city sounds in the distance,” or “camera shakes slightly as the crowd cheers” help the model understand realism.
Keep your setup simple. The fewer characters and moving pieces you include, the cleaner and sharper your final video will look.
And finally — use Remix instead of deleting and rewriting a prompt from scratch. Remixing lets you build on what’s already working, making small improvements without losing the magic you’ve already captured.
Those habits make your videos clearer and more believable.

Using Sora to See the Future You Are Building
Most people are only thinking about Sora for fun, or as a way to create marketing videos.
But – that misses the real mark!
Sora is actually a wildly powerful tool for creating your DREAM LIFE.
If you can see it, you can believe it!
If you can believe it – it can happen!
Place yourself on the keynote stage you want to command next quarter.
Put your team into the studio you plan to open.
Work in your dream environment and let your community see it with you.
See yourself being interviewed on the news!
When you visualize at this fidelity and share selectively, it conditions both you and your audience to treat that future as near-term.
That is brand strategy and mindset work at the same time.

Collaboration, Inside and Outside the App
Sora is deliberately social. Which I LOVE.
Inside the app you can cameo each other (with consent), remix what resonates, and spin up prompt-based challenges that make creation a team sport. Because cameo is permissioned, you keep control while unlocking reach. Outside the app, repurpose the same asset across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and your list. Tag collaborators so algorithms see the graph and the audience sees the community. The same 8–12 seconds can do very different jobs when you pair it with platform-native captions and calls to action.
I love how our Multiply member Andy Franco is using Sora – especially these interview style he’s doing for his own brand and for partners.
Here’s the video interview style.
And… I’m partial to this testimonial one for sure. LOL
Getting Started
You do not need to be technical. Treat Sora like a small crew you direct with words.
- Get access. Download the Sora iOS app and sign in with your OpenAI account.
Access expands in phases; U.S. and Canada lead the rollout.
If you have an invite code, but you don’t have an iphone, you can also work on the web at https://sora.chatgpt.com/ as access opens for your account.
- Set up your cameo. The app will guide you through a short video-and-audio verification. You control who can feature you and can revoke access or remove videos that include your cameo, drafts included.
As of now… this only works on the iphone app. - Start simple. The beauty of this is the fact that it loves SHORT prompts.
Ask for a clear scene with a mood and one action.
When you want to spice it up, add style, lighting, camera, and audio notes in plain language.
OpenAI’s prompt tips recommend adding timing cues and using realism anchors such as “overcast afternoon, handheld jitter, phone-mic feel” to keep fantastical ideas grounded. - Iterate. When a video resut is close, click Edit Video and you’ll get the chance to re-do the same prompt.
Or… you can post the video and then click the little Circle on the bottom right and side of the video and do what’s called a “Remix” rather than rewrite.
Limit moving parts if fidelity slips or if it takes too long; fewer characters and simpler motion improve results, especially for lip-sync.
Also – I’ve found it helpful to repeat the @username for specific “lines” in the script to get it just right. - Publish and repurpose.
You can post to the Sora feed or DM, download with an embedded watermark and then share to your main social channels.
There is a rolling 24-hour usage limit of something like 100 videos in the app; if you hit it, try again once a submission drops outside your last day’s window.
Advanced Tips
- Tune how you appear. If a cameo output looks “off,” you do not have to re-record immediately. Use the cameo instructions field to guide Sora toward a closer match, and update who can use your cameo under Cameo rules. You can also retake your cameo from settings at any time; changes apply going forward. Shout out to our Multiply Member Andy Franco who really tested this one out! Search his name on the app and give him a follow!
- See where others used you. When you grant permission for your likeness, Sora surfaces any video that includes your cameo, including unpublished drafts others created, so you can review or revoke. That visibility is built-in.
- Work on desktop when you want more control. As web access opens for your account, go to sora.com. There you can choose orientations including 16:9 landscape and work with deeper controls; Pro users will gain access to an experimental higher-quality Sora 2 Pro model on the web, with specifics evolving during rollout. Treat durations and resolutions you see in third-party guides as directional, then confirm in the UI because OpenAI adjusts limits during launch phases.
- Incorporate a photo for on-brand scenes. You can upload a still image as inspiration so Sora blends it into the scene—great for brand backdrops, your office, or product environments. At launch, uploading images that depict real people is blocked; use cameos for likenesses.
That’s how I created the video on this page. It’s 2 desktop Sora Videos stitched together!
Practical Guardrails and Realities
All downloads carry a visible moving watermark and C2PA metadata to signal provenance.
AKA Sora automatically adds invisible data that tells platforms this video was AI-generated and where it came from.
That is intentional and not removable; present it as a transparency strength.
I’ve decided to always turn on the “Ai Content” setting on social platforms that have the option.
Be thoughtful with subject matter: public figure depictions are blocked unless they opt in via cameo, and policies prohibit deceptive or non-consensual use.
On access and tiers, expect change.
OpenAI notes an experimental Sora 2 Pro model on the web for Pro subscribers and plans API access.
Yay!
Your Weird Is Still Your Superpower: Why Personal Brand Comes First
You may be wondering… Does this Replace Human Videos?
Here’s the truth: Sora can make beautiful, cinematic, next-level videos… but if you don’t know who you are, no amount of AI polish will make your content land.
Tools amplify what’s already there… they don’t create it for you.
That’s why your personal brand matters more than ever.
If you don’t have your “Weird Personal Brand” dialed in… that mix of quirks, perspective, humor, and heart that makes you unmistakably you!
Sora can’t express it!
You’ll end up creating content that looks cool but feels generic.
Before you start generating videos, take a step back and ask:
- What do I stand for?
- What makes my approach different?
- What do I actually want people to feel when they see my content?
Once you’ve got that clarity, then you can hand it to Sora. Give the model something to amplify — your tone, your personality, your weird. That’s where the magic happens.
So if you feel like your videos don’t quite “hit,” it’s probably not the tool. It’s that the audience can’t feel you in the message yet. Dial your Weird back up, lean into what makes you different, and let Sora become the creative partner that brings it to life in motion.
Because AI is powerful — but authenticity is magnetic.
And when you pair the two, that’s when your content moves from forgettable to unforgettable.e
Bottom Line
Sora 2 democratizes cinematic storytelling and fits the pace of modern marketing.
When you combine the model’s realism and audio sync with clear prompting, ethical cameo practice, and a buyer-driven content plan, you get videos that do more than impress.
They connect, clarify, and convert.
This is how to lead with creativity and still treat content as a business asset.

Frequently Asked Questions About Sora 2 Ai Video Creator
What exactly is Sora 2?
Sora 2 is OpenAI’s latest AI video model. It can generate short, realistic videos — complete with sound and dialogue — from a simple text prompt, image, or remix of existing footage. Think of it as an intelligent film crew that lives in your laptop or phone.
How do I sign up for Sora 2?
Right now, Sora 2 is in limited release. You can:
- Download the Sora app on iOS (U.S. and Canada only for now).
- If it’s not yet live for you, join the waitlist at openai.com/sora.
- If you’re a ChatGPT Plus or Pro subscriber, you’ll get access through sora.com once it’s enabled for your account.
After setup, you’ll verify your likeness (called a cameo) so the system can include you in your own videos.
What can I actually make with it?
You can create cinematic brand stories, funny objection-crushing clips, belief-building ads, product demos, training videos, or visualizations of your future self. If you can describe it in words, Sora can bring it to life.
Is it only for fun, or can I use it for business?
Both. You can absolutely use Sora for marketing, sales, education, and client engagement. It’s ideal for fast prototyping, storytelling, and social media content that connects emotionally and stands out in a crowded feed.
Can I use my real face or voice in Sora 2?
Yes. When you create your cameo, Sora learns your appearance and voice so it can accurately represent you in scenes. You always maintain control: you can revoke cameo access or remove videos that feature you at any time.
Is Sora 2 available on desktop?
Yes. Go to sora.com (or sora.chatgpt.com during rollout). The web version supports landscape orientation, longer clips, and higher-quality output for Pro accounts.
Can I upload my own images or backgrounds?
Yes! You can upload still photos — like your office, product, or branded backdrop — and Sora will blend them seamlessly into your generated video.
What does the watermark and C2PA metadata mean?
Every Sora video includes a small watermark and invisible C2PA metadata. That metadata is a built-in authenticity tag that tells platforms and viewers the video was AI-generated. It’s OpenAI’s way of keeping content transparent and trustworthy.
Are there restrictions on what I can create?
Yes. You can’t use Sora to mimic public figures, create non-consensual or misleading content, or upload copyrighted material you don’t own. All cameo use must be consent-based.
What if I’m not creative or tech-savvy?
Perfect — Sora was built for you. You describe the idea, and it does the rest. Start simple: one character, one setting, one emotion. Then iterate and refine using Remix to build on what already works.
How long are the videos right now?
Sora 2 clips currently run a few seconds (around 5–15 seconds, depending on your account and region). OpenAI continues to test longer durations, so expect this to expand over time.
Can I use Sora 2 videos commercially?
Yes, as long as your use follows OpenAI’s content and attribution policies. Many entrepreneurs are already using Sora-generated clips in ads, social campaigns, and course materials.
